Tuesday and Rain
I love my kids imaginations and they are at the age that they play fairly well together too!
I have been watching them all morning playing with cars, duplos, little people and play food. Mostly running cars and dump trucks over the fake food like they are monster trucks. Even when it comes to their food I find them often pretending a chip is a blanket for their sandwich or the bendy straw is a small telescope.
I am trying to follow my goal I set for us and them to cut down on screen time so the one request today for screen time was "Mallow" as Henry calls the original 1984 Ghostbusters movie. Anytime that the Stay Puff is about to come on the screen he goes crazy, calling it a mallow and yelling "A monster". Yesterday it was all about Wall-e, and Wreck it Ralph, those were the two they wanted to watch which I love both. I love hearing them sing along with the songs they know well from these movies.
As went to sleep last night I could hear the rain coming down. I love the sound of a thunderstorm or rain storm. Woke up to it raining as well so I hurried and opened up the windows where the rain wouldn't come in so I could hear it more.
What is your favorite thing your kids like to play with or watch? Are you a fan of the rain as well?
