My 2018 Goals. Have you set yours?
I know that we all make new year resolutions but how many of us really keep them for the entire year. I will be the first to admit not me. I do good for about 1 month and then they disappear down a rabbit hole never to be seen again.
Goals for myself and the little's:
Goals for myself and the little's:
- On everyone's list-Lose weight. I was really happy that my last pregnancy as I was at a good weight to begin with and was able to keep it under control. But then when winter creeps ups on us we tend to start to put back on that weight but I determined not to let that happen. I have a goal in mind and I know I can accomplish it. I have cut diet soda out completely, next on the list is my sweet tooth. It's not bad but when I have it in the house, it gets eaten.
- Every morning/afternoon (after lunch on school and no school days) have mixed genre music (no MA-not saying that I did but for your piece of mind lol) playing for the little's while they play with toys.
- Okay so here is where I am asking NO judgement-Limit screen time for the little's to 2hrs a day (30 min intervals). This includes, tablet, netflix/amazon or movies. Even though they weren't in front of the TV or a tablet all day I felt like its was running in the background even if it wasn't being watched. So no unnecessary noise distractions I guess you could say.
- Read 45 minutes a day to the little's (during lunch I find is best).
- Introduce my kids to at least one veggie or fruit they don't eat often. I want to expand their pallet since its so easy to get stuck in the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Say our family prayers. I remember growing up and always having family prayers morning and night and yes it drove me crazy as I got older but I did appreciate it.
- Watch my temper and my words. I can have a short fuse here and there. Let's be honest everyone does even if its a small one. As my kids are getting a bit older I realized that they are just kids and even if they can't understand completely words and tempers can hurt. I don't want my kids to fear me. We want our kids to respect us and I think there is a different way we can approach that without anger.
- Write a blog post and a chapter of my book everyday. Okay that might be extreme but I used to write all the time. I even have a novelle that I wrote a few years back that I haven't let anyone read. I even talked about it on my blog I used to have but then when the first little came along I put it aside and now its itching to be finished.
